Ko-fi, End of Life Timeplan

Constantinos Demetriadis

If you are a paying member via Ko-fi, you will be AFFECTED. The following information is crucial for members who are still using Ko-fi for payments. Please read carefully.

February 19th, 2026, will mark exactly one year since we launched our new membership platform. During this time, we've seen a massive increase in memberships and a steady stream of migrations. However, despite our efforts, many of you remain on Ko-fi.

Fortunately, the majority of the community has migrated—but not everyone.

Starting March 1st, 2026, we will no longer support Ko-fi.

We are not locking anyone out or removing anyone from our backend systems immediately, but we will cease to offer account support for any issues related to Ko-fi accounts.

When is this changing?

Step 1: March 1st, 2026
We will be sunsetting all backend systems that have maintained Ko-fi memberships since last February. We will also run cleanup scripts to ensure all member records are updated and validated. During this process, you may lose access to your membership.

Step 2: June 30th, 2026
We will completely shut down our Ko-fi membership platform. All members still on Ko-fi will lose their membership status, and all Ko-fi subscription contracts will be terminated.

What do you need to do?

If you are a paying member on Ko-fi and wish to maintain your membership status, you must migrate to the new membership platform on our website as soon as possible.

What will change for you?

The new membership platform is far more robust. It is built on Shopify and paired with a custom-developed membership system, utilizing enterprise solutions on AWS and Cloudflare to guarantee uptime and performance.

Migrating also comes with new perks, automatically applied based on the tier and payment plan you select. Here are a few examples:

Migrating is a no-brainer and takes only a few minutes.
